Mi chi ha dato una domanda?

Buona sera. Ho recevuto una domanda attraverso la sistema. Penso che lui ha trovato una usa sospetta di MCAP-CR. Saro contento se qualcuno i informazioni di il sito. Grazie, [ Subject ] mcap authorized use ? [ Messagec ] http://www.diapasonhifi.it/component/jshopping/diffusori/feastrex-vivace.html

Pure Audio from Poor Audio

I recently devote myself to poor audio. I recognized that the most important thing of the audio hobby is technology. Important information is found everywhere around usual life. UP4D technology was found from poor audio trial. Limited materials like rough woods limited enclosure design, driver layout, size and so on. It made me realized the advantage of unparallel driver layout. Now I am trying the next UP4D application. I try UP4D cavity resonator system. Previous one was pipe resonator. Cavity resonator system is somewhat advantageous for size and shape compared with pipe resonator. Now I will incorporate pipe resonator with cavity resonator. I will see what it can.

Real Giant...!!!!

Image
This is the real giant. It is the first ever commercial product of multiple-degree of freedom cavity resonator type loudspeaker system! She is the president of DreamsounD where my friend devotes himself for true high-fidelity music presenter loudspeaker system. You will imagine how big it is! She is not a dwarf. Once my friend wrote to me since he got interested in MCAP-CR. He had other multiple-degree of freedom cavity resonator project. I helped him for a little bit analysis part. He was really much impressed with the performance of the model. He wrote to me that he had never experienced such presence of music with the new system. I wish I could hear it. France is too far from Japan. Visit DreamsounD for more details. Ciao!

Field Presenter Application (4)

I have been studying dynamics of moving masses for multiple-degree of freedom cavity resonator applications. It is interesting, because (I have seen) no study about multiple-degree of freedom model. It is not too much difficult like continuum mechanics. Therefore, I could have developed simulator programs of multiple-degree of freedom models. On the other hand, pipe resonator model is continuum mechanics model, so that it requires another technique to develop simulator models. It is true that just calculating characteristic frequencies of pipe resonator is easy; however, using calculation formulas, we do not know exact behavior of a cavity resonator application. I will not study pipe resonator model for a time being. The reason why I adopted pipe resonator for the field presenter application was not to compensate low frequency response, but to realize slim body. Slim body is advantageous for field presentation, because slim body does not sound field as much as big enclosure b...

Field presenter application (3)

Image
Here is the concept of UP4D (UnParallel 4-Direction) field presentation loudspeaker system. There are four drivers in each channel and each driver faces different direction, and height of each driver is different each other. Left channel and right channel are symmetrical. First application was pipe resonator system. Pipe resonator is advantageous to configure slim shape. This "slim" structure may be the most important factor for field presentation system. Any way, this one realized unbelievable sound field. To be continued...

Field presenter application (2)

Image
New field presentation loudspeaker system consists of 4 drivers per each channel. Price of one driver was just 200JPY. 200JPY corresponds to 1.74USD (1USD=115JPY). Size of the driver was nominal 7cm (smaller than 3 inches but greater than 2 inches). The reason why I chose this driver was that the price was reasonable enough. Fostex drivers cost ten times or greater. With these cheap drivers, the new field presentation loudspeaker system impressed enough. I felt it was more than loudspeaker system. It would be something else than being a loudspeaker system. Every acoustic source I chose made sound field if I were in a small concert hall..... I lost word. To be continued.

Field presenter application

Image
I recently tried an application of field presentation loudspeaker system. It was a lot more than I had expected. Some group of music mania will be amazed at performance of this application and will realize that traditional approach may have been somewhat wrong... I decided to concentrate on field presentation applications and continue reporting to my Blog. to be continued...

Released: Loudspeaker Simulator with Fourier Transform

Image
New Loudspeaker response simulator with Fourier Transform was released. This is revision 1.0. Though it is character user interface (CUI) version, but function is powerful. New simulator is applicable to buffle , closed enclosure , bass-reflex enclosure , double bass-reflex enclosure , and standard MCAP-CR enclosure with up to 12 subchambers! Just to edit input parameter file, and run the simulator program from command prompt, then simulation results are generated as csv files. You may make plots, if you use spreadsheet software like (LibreOffice Calc, Microsoft Excel, etc.) Here is an example of simulation result. It is plotted by LibreOffice Calc. Below is the list of distributed files. Here is the input file. Just to edit this file and rung the executable, then results are generated as text file. You can compile the source file. Linux 64bit executable compiled by GCC runs much faster than Windows 32bit executable! See software page . Everyone can downlo...

Information of QNDR System is released. QNDR details had been released ago but in Japanese only. Now you will see my web page. See Project MCAP-CR .

Restructuring MCAP-CR Website

I will begin restructuring my website. My website may have been too much technical for most readers. I am reorganizing the site design first, but it is not enough for restructuring. Please keep in touch! Multiple-Degree of Freedom Cavity Resonator Project

English pages have not been updated for long while, but yesterday uploaded article of new MCAP-CR models(TR130e/e2). New models are equipped with Tangband's 5" drivers, and Feastrex Nf5Ex exciter driver model. Here is the photo. Please refer to the web page . Multiple-Degree of Freedom Cavity Resonator Project

Patent Accepted: MCAP-CR

I received a letter from Japan patent office. It was to inform me of acceptance of MCAP-CR patent application. I paid 6 year fee to keep my patent last Saturday. It has bee very long since I tried to develop generalized multiple degree of freedom cavity resonator systems. Since I published technical details of MCAP-CR through web sites, many readers read details and some actually made ones' own systems. Multiple degree of freedom cavity resonator system is already proven technology. I would like to keep this system better with my friends. Thank you for your supports! New MDOF-CR application CBS-CR

Image
I recently made a new multiple degree of freedom cavity resonator speaker system. New system's structuture is named as CBS-CR . Here is the structure of the new system. Left down side is main chambere where speaker driver is installed. On the wall of main chamber were pasted slices of corque caps. It was intended to absorb sounds a little bit, while it would not affect its performance a lot. Other chambers are sub chambers. Details of CBS-CR is documented here . It is being assembled like this... Now complete except surface finishing. Fostex's obsolete 4.5" full-range speaker driver FF125K was used for this new system (named as CBT120a). I love this system's performance. Low end frequency is approximately 37Hz. It is enough for most music sources. This system is especially good at jazz musics. I will upload some more details later. Any questions to me

I recently received inquiry from non-English speaking country. He noted that he was not good at English writing. It is no problem to give me emails in European language other than English. We have translation tools in web site. I can handle italiano and Deutsch a little bit. I will try. Ciao!

Feastrex Nf5Exciter driver

Image
I packed some of my speaker systems in order to present at conference of Research Institute for Loudspeaker Systems and Related Trchnologies (RILSRT) held on 23rd of September, 2010. I resumed using my main loudspeaker systems that are tall 5" system in the left photograph. The main system is named TR130c . This system is equipped with Nf5Exciter full-range driver by Feastrex . I again realized completely different world with Feastrex drivers from with Fostex drivers. Listening Jazz Piano Trio ("The Ground" by Tord Gustavsen Trio: ECM 1892 B0004123-02), I felt music itself rather than just high fidelity sound. This was true to Morzart' Violin Concerto, List's Piano Concerto and all other music sources that I own. Feastrex sound is music itself. High frequency sound directly reaches to me without distortion. Nothing is annoying. Thigh I enjoy piano trio with my "CON GIOIA" system with Fostex FE83En drivers, but not as much as with "TR130c" ...

Drawing of "CON GIOIA"

After making clay layer back side of FE83En's frame. Sound became clear. I am now able to show the drawing of this model. Multiple-Degree of Freedom Cavity Resonator Project

Viscous gasket for driver frame

Image
My new AICC-CR (one of MCAP-CRs) application "Con Gioia" uses Fostex's FE83En. I made several changes to this speaker unit, because I did not like its sound. I found that the main reason that I hate its sound was that it has very unrigid frame. FE83En costs more than most of same class drivers by different suppliers'. On the other hand frame is very weak and weak frame became source of noise. I made clay gasket and laminated to inner frame in order to damp the frame. I hear great change of its sound. This may be a good idea to damp weak frames. Sound became more vivid, listening Bobo Stenson Trio. It seems noise from weak metal frame was not negligible. Finishing cabinet

Image
Cabinet of the system was painted yesterday. It was tougher work than I expected.  Finishing work is always the most tough part of loudspeaker system assembly. It looks nicer than I expected. I learned about painting recently by commercial DIY video by Loudspeaker Meister Mr. Oyama. It is available in his website . His video is more than excellent than anything else. I wish I could have bought this twenty years ago. I should not have spend hundreds of euros, if I had had this video.  After finishing was done, I replaced speaker driver modified FE83E with FE83En, then I was disappointed at the sound. Therefore I made some modification to FE83En.  Appearance became different from FE83E. Painting from back side made dirty stain in the front side, while same painting material was used.  It seems material of membrane became somewhat different.  Sound after this modification was made, impresses me a lot. High frequency does not annoy me as origi...
